Sealed tenders on item rate basis are hereby invited on behalf of Chairman, HIMUDA by the undersigned from the experienced contractors/Firms enlisted in appropriate class with Himachal Pradesh PWD/HIMUDA for the following works.  The tenders shall be received in my office on or before 6.8.2007 upto 11.00 AM and shall be opened on the same day at 12.30 PM in the presence of Contractors/Firms or their authorized representatives who wish to be present at the time of opening of tender.  Tender forms can be had from the office of the undersigned upto 3.8.2007 upto 4.00 PM. Tender forms can also be had by post for extra payment of Rs.100/- receivable upto 10 days before the receipt of tenders:

Construction of S.C. Boys Hostel for Govt. Degree College at Mandi, Distt. Mandi HP (SH:C/o Hostel building including internal WS & SI, harvesting tank, development of site i.e. C/o R/wall, road/path, Ext. water supply and sewerage)

Terms and conditions:

1.     The tender document shall be issued to only those contractors/firms:

        (a)  Who have successfully executed three works of 40% of the estimated cost put to tender.  OR

               Two works of 50% of the estimated cost put to tender.  OR

                One work of 80% of the estimated cost put to tender (rounded off to the nearest Rs.10 lakhs) in the last 7

                 years ending last day of the month previous to the one in which the tenders are invited.

        (b)  Who possess the requisite the requisite machinery.

        (c)  Who possess valid HP Sales Tax Registration under HP Sales Tax, 1968.

        (d)  The contractor will have to get himself registered with EPF Authority after the award of work and payment will

               only be released after the production of EPF registration, but not later than 3 months after award of work.

2.     Draft notice inviting Tender/Drawings/specifications can be seen in my office on any working day between 10.00

        AM to 4.00 PM.

3.     Ambiguous/telegraphic/conditional tenders by Fax/E-mail shall not be entertained/considered in any case.

4.     The intending contractors/firms are requested to see the site of work before submitting tender.

5.     All the tenders must be accompanied with earnest money in the shape of Cash/Call at Deposit/NSC purchased from

        any post office in HP/ FDR from any nationalized banks duly pledged in favour of undersigned.  Tender without

        earnest money will not be entertained and out rightly rejected.

6.     Tenders shall be issued upto 2 days before the date of opening of the tender upto  4.00 PM.

7.     Offer shall remain valid upto 120 days after the opening of the tender.

8.     If any of the date mentioned above happens to be local/gazetted holiday, the same shall be processed on next date.

9.     Competent authority reserve the right to reject/accept any or all tenders without assigning any reason.

10.   The intending contractors/firms are required to attach the copy of enlistment/renewal, registration under HP Sales

        Tax Registration Number with application for purchase of tender forms.
